Why I love to paint the sea

As the waves crash down to the shore the overwhelming emotions shatter into pieces and are dragged away with the tide. I can breathe again... When the sea is calm and gentle the emotions simply drift away and disappear. This one is my favourite. We sit quietly and allow ourselves to slip into a subconscious meditation. Our thoughts and conversations become light and harmonious. We are filled with nostalgia and the se nse of being free. Do you ever have that overpowering desire to be by the sea? I do Perhaps that is why every time I pick up the paintbrush and allow my mind to relax, the beautiful colours of the ocean begin to transpire before me.

The sea is my healer The sea is my healer She soothes me with her sound Calmness in her colours In her solace is found The sea is my healer Revitalised and free When I glide through her waves Once again I am me Becky Brown
